APO ANNO...

he is a tribal leader...

he was mummified in 1918...

during those early years ng mga ninuno daw ng ibaloi at kakanae, only rich clans and tribal leaders were to be mummified...

you cannot just take picture or video of APO ANNO...

you have to ask permission from HIM and a priest from the community will also say a ritual of permission bago mahawakan or kung anuman na gagawin sa mummified tribal leader...

there was once an incident daw kasi na me isang bumisita dun at dinedma ang ritual and basta-basta na lang pumunta sa cave where APO ANNO'S mummified body is kept -- NAHULOG DAW SA BANGIN 'YUNG TAO... buhay naman daw pero bali ang likod...

you cannot make a joke or do something that will show disrespect to HIM or else you'll pay the price...

ONLY MEN can perform the ritual -- women can watch though...

in asking for permission 'di daw pedeng patugtugin ang mga brass intruments but it'll be displayed para sa mga elemento na gusto magplay na nasa paligid lang daw na 'di nakikita...

sometimes a KANYAW is performed where ISANG NATIVE NA BABOY ANG KAKATAYIN na umaabot sa 10 thousand pesos ang halaga... or kung mas mapera kaw pwedeng more than one pig...

minsan daw nakakapangutang talaga ang isang tao just to have this activity for it'll be a blessing din naman daw sa mga magpapagawa ng KANYAW...

dito na magkakaroon ng pagtugtog ng brass instruments and you don't have to be invited para makadalo ka sa kasayahan... lahat ng tao sa community ay kasali -- WHERE THERE IS SMOKE, THERE IS MEAT... 'yun 'yung motto nila... PIYESTA ITO!

hindi bababa ng 50 thousand ang gagastusin kung ikaw ay magpapa-KANYAW...

ganun kamahal dahil ganun ka-SACRED for them ang RITUAL na ito...

kasi nga mataas respect nung mga tao dun sa mummy...

and they were holding him like he's so precious...

wow...ibang klase.parang kala mo sa tv or movie lang pero in real life meron talaga.sabagay yung mga concepts namin nila i suppose were just taken from what's happening or what has happened in the past. galing...
